Vrysses, Crete
The charming village of Vrysses or Vryses is about 31km south-east of Chania on the
road leading to Chora Skafion. The area is lush, green and
fertile with the river Brysiotiko crossing through it.
Its rich soil with abundant grasses gives rise to abundant dairy
farming and the dairy products of this region, such as a variety
of cheeses and yogurts are famous.
Close by is the cave of Kera Spiliotissa which is an
archaeological gem and well worth visiting.
