Plakias Crete
The tiny seaside village of Plakias is about 34km south of
Rethymno south of the village of Spili and southwest of Preveli.
Although tiny its extensive and glorious beaches have led to a
big increase in the numbers of tourists visiting in the summer
and consequently has developed into a pleasant seaside resort.
A coastal road stretches along the long beach of Plakias, with
trees and several parking spaces.
The area offers accommodations, restaurants and cafes. From
Plakias you can go by road to Frangokastello. .
