Crete is the largest island of Greece and one of the largest islands in the Mediterranean. It is also the southernmost part of Europe. Crete located between three continents: Europe, Asia and Africa. To the north is washed by the Cretan Sea, to the south from the Libyan Sea, to the west from the southern Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean and to the east from the Carpathian Sea.
